Faculty-led Learning Across the Globe (FLAG)
The Institute for Global Engagement (IGE)’s Faculty-led Learning Across the Globe (FLAG) program includes Course-Embedded Travel (CET) courses and Global Learning Program (GLP) courses. These credit-bearing, campus-based courses taught by ΢ÃÜÆƽâ faculty members offer opportunities for transformative global learning in the dimensions of ΢ÃÜÆƽâ’s Global Education Learning Goals through embedded travel components integrated into the course curriculum.
Course-Embedded Travel
CET courses are credit-bearing, disciplinary courses taught on campus by ΢ÃÜÆƽâ faculty from across the divisions. CET courses integrate a site-based, experiential learning travel component aligned with ΢ÃÜÆƽâ’s Global Education Learning Goals into the structure of the course. Travel takes place during an academic break. CET courses are listed in the course catalogue.

Global Learning Program
The GLP is made possible thanks to generous support from Susie McCurry ’71 and the Roland and Ruby Holden Foundation. GLP courses are co-taught by two faculty members. Selected first year student participants explore an interdisciplinary theme through a semester-long course on campus with global site-based travel components to two or more locations over academic breaks
