Photo Essay: At Hotel MacGuffin
On September 13, ƽ actors performed a staged reading of At Hotel MacGuffin by M Sloth Levine and directed by Jen Shook, professor of Theatre, Dance, & Performance Studies. The show is a very queer case of missing persons, missing jewels, and missing the point. Drag, melodrama, noir, and cabaret combine into the feeling that you’ve been here before, you’ll be here again, and you’ll still be looking for that last piece. The playwright, this year’s guest adjudicator for ƽ’s , also hosted a playwriting workshop for students.

At Hotel MacGuffin is part of the Fall 2025 Staged Reading Series. The next performance will be a concert reading of the Tony award-winning musical Fun Home Oct 10-11.
