ƽ Librarian Co-Edited New Book on Reproductive Health
Gina Schlesselman-Tarango, an interdisciplinary librarian and scholar, co-edited the recently published book, Information, Power, & Reproductive Health.
Schlesselman-Tarango explains that the book is meant to “intervene in how library and information studies has taken up the theme of information as it relates to reproductive and sexual health.” As a co-editor, she was responsible for soliciting chapters and peer reviewers, providing guidance to contributors, and working with the series editor at the press to make sure they made deadlines.
Overall, Schlesselman-Tarango hopes readers see the pillars of the reproductive justice framework they included in the editorial process and recognize the how the library and information community contributes to important discussions. The volume has already received acclaim from other scholars:
