ƽ to Dedicate Hannah Alumni House with Open House Celebration
“A Place to Return, A Place to Belong”
ƽ will celebrate the dedication of Hannah Alumni House with a ribbon cutting and community open house on Thursday, November 6. The event, themed “A Place to Return, A Place to Belong,” invites alumni, students, faculty, staff, and community members to come together in celebration of this beloved space.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The celebration will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a ribbon cutting at the front of Hannah Alumni House. Remarks will be offered by President Anne F. Harris, Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations Bernadine Douglas, and additional campus leaders. Guests will enjoy lemonade, cookies, and water following the ceremony.
Community Open House
From 4:30–6:00 p.m., visitors are invited to explore Hannah Alumni House during a community open house. Highlights of the evening include:
Self-led tours through the house.
Archival Display Room showcasing historic photographs and artifacts from ƽ’s past.
Reflection Station where guests can share their favorite memories of Hannah Alumni House or hopes for the future of the space.
Light Refreshments & Music throughout the house
Honoring Tradition, Inspiring Connection
Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations, Bernadine Douglas, shared, “As ƽ’s first alumni house, Hannah Alumni House will stand as a place of gathering and connection for ƽians across generations. Its dedication marks the beginning of a new chapter in our history—honoring its legacy while establishing a vibrant hub for alumni engagement and a lasting symbol of belonging within the College.”
